Farm production worker

We are looking for folks to join our team who are used to lifting heavy things and working quickly. Candidates should be available from 7 am to early afternoon, a few days or more per week. We are hiring for multiple part-time positions and full-time positions. Please indicate in your cover letter, which position you are applying for.

Wild Woods Farm (www.wildwoodscsa.com) is seeking candidates to work for the 2025 growing season. Wild Woods is a CSA-centered vegetable farm following organic practices. The position can begin as soon as mid-March or early April. Part-time positions average 10-25 hours per week. Full-time position averages 30-40 hours per week during the height of the season from May 1 through the end of August (or mid-August if workers need to return to school). Work after mid-August is needed and can be determined depending on-farm needs and worker availability.
Responsibilities include involvement in all aspects of our diverse farm operation with an emphasis on vegetable production: weeding, planting, harvesting, soil preparation, pest management, and irrigation.
Desired Skills: To be successful at this job you must be hardworking and dependable. You must have a fun-loving attitude and the ability to work with a diverse group of people. You must be an energetic and efficient worker. You must be able to work outside in summer conditions. You must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Hours: Monday through Friday (generally 7:00am-1:00pm or later), and occasional Saturday mornings. Mondays and Thursdays are delivery days and may require more hours than other weekdays, especially if you are assigned a CSA drop site. (we are generally looking for full-time workers but could consider part-time depending on the circumstance of the particular summer and the needs of the farm).
Housing/Transportation: Must have own transportation. We do not provide housing but there is ample housing available in the surrounding communities.
Meals: Workers are responsible for their own snacks and meals. Farm vegetables are always available for use.
